Treatment SpineCor™ System Soft Bracing
SpineCor™ treatment was developed in the early 1990s and uses a Dynamic Corrective Brace (DCB), together with a new treatment approach that requires clinical assistant diagnostic software (SAS) to allow accurate fitting and treatment follow up. SpineCor™’s unique treatment approach offers improvement over traditional braces, which are essentially static or allow minimal movement, due to its true dynamic action. Fundamental research by independent research groups now indicates that a significant dynamic action is required on the spine (vertebral growth plates) to alter the abnormal growth that is causing progress of the deformity in scoliosis patients.
The SpineCor™ treatment approach which is totally new uses 3-point pressure (3-dimensional system) and distraction; it is the. first and only true dynamic bracing system for idiopathic scoliosis. SpineCor™ treatment can be complemented with the SpineCor™ Physiotherapy Program whereby patients treated with the SpineCor™ brace carries out exercises exclusively catered for their type of scoliosis curve to avoid interfering with the action of the brace. It is now available worldwide in many countries including, Australia, Canada, United States of America, United Kingdom, Malaysia and others.
SpineCor™ treatment offers:
Better cosmetic appearance compared to bulky rigid braces
Low profile as it is worn under clothing for patient’s optimal self-image
Cost effective treatment on a long term basis (parts can be replaced)
Body movement is not restricted hence allowing patient to continue with normal daily activities
No side effects (muscular atrophy)
